How do you defend random encounters? it is an old mechanic, on a game of 2019 and on a hardware like switch they should disappear, they are a design choice conceived for consoles that cannot reproduce monsters on screen. It would be much better to have a living world with pokemon that move in a hospitable environment instead of stupid, empty, unsightly clumps of grass that impoverish the game world. Furthermore, random encounters ruin exploration, force you to stop every two seconds if you are traveling in a marine stretch and if you are in a cave it is torture. Seriously guys, find a better excuse to defend sword and shield because this is ridiculous, random encounters are shit.
