>Garchomp>Tyranitar>Dragonite>Kommo-o>Hydreigon>Metagross>Salamence>SlugfuckerGarchomp is considerably out of meta favor right now, but he's a tenacious little bastard, which is a testament to just how good it is.
Tyranitar commonly is a bit higher, arguably the consistent best, entirely due to its status as a powerhouse pursuit trapper and anti-weather engine, but those are heavily meta dependent roles, even if they are consistently good.
Dragonite is as good as it is entirely because of Multiscale allowing it to set up DD in the face of a lot more than others, and Extremespeed giving it quasi-immunity to priority.
Kommo-o sweeps harder than Dragonite, at the cost of being more risky. Personally, I value consistency over winning harder, but, you could easily switch them based on your preferences. If Spore ever really comes into meta again, Kommo-o might overtake it?
Hydreigon is really good, just, kinda poorly optimized. It's juuuust shy of being really, really good, though. It would only take a tiny nudge for it to shoot up.
Salamence is just outclassed nowadays. Intimidate+DD isn't what it used to be, without that it's just not able to compete with better optimized dragons, and honestly the best way to use it now is a wildcard Wish+Defog set.
Metagross is an odd case. It's consistently been good entirely because of the meta. It excelled in Advance, MagDrag, and Fariepocalypse, which might make you think it's really good, but, it kinda isn't. It's just a pretty okay Steel type, and the premier offensive Steel.
Slugfucker just doesn't know what it wants to do. its stat spread says it's a special tank, Sap Sipper makes it want to be physical, its moveset makes it want to be a special attacker, Hydration wants it to be a rain wall, and Gooey wants it to check physical attackers. If literally anything energized with anything else, we might be looking at Hydreigon-tier. Now it's just shit.
