Had two shinys before i knew what a shiny was appear in my games and i never caught them because I thought they looked weird, my real first shiny was a floette in x at a friend safari.

Not as much of a fan of pokemon go and mostly play it during my commute to work to pass time, but Shiny pokemon in Go are just as rare. The only exception are event pokemon or the pokemon community days that increasee the spawn rate for the featured pokemon, which make shiny variations of it more likely to appear.

Where do you live? I thought this was only a thing in Japan, when i see an elderly holding a phone with one hand at arms length and the other hand holding their glasses in place before touching the screen its always pokemon go.

The base rate is much higher, and doesn't Go spawn multiple Pokemon at a time? That increases the effective odds of seeing one.

I caught a shiny Lickatung just now in Let's go while bumming around Cerulian cave, people say that in these games shiny is esy but tht seem like bullshit, they should make the odds like 2,000 instead of 4,096 to make it more barring
