I also have a digital copy of Y, and a very very long time ago I had RBY, but I somehow managed to lose all 3 of them.

I used to have one game from each version until X, after i saw how shitty ORAS was i got tired of the franchise and sold all the games except for TCG on the GBC, i have been emulating most games on the phone whenever i feel like playing Pokemon, right now i am playing Emerald.

and ones I lost when I was a kid that I did own: platinum firered emerald.

random: Pokémon ranch, rumble, poke ball plus and poke walker from HG (still own both), Pokémon go, and that one shitty Pokémon mobile game that’s also in the switch that I played for a bit but forgot the name of DESU. Only generation I didn’t buy is the 5th and honestly I regret that and am going to try and get a copy

All main line games in English, plus Japanese Green, Silver, Crystal, and Sapphire (I also have multiple copies of English Sapphire, LeafGreen, and SoulSilver, my cousins gave me their copies when they stopped playing). The only one I don't have is Let's Go Pikachu.

I have every spin off game released before Gen 5 except for Hey You, Pikachu! which didn't come out where I live.

I lost both diamond and heart gold as a kid and somehow got hold of new copies, but I have no idea how. Most people I know have had similar experiences. I’m fairly certain a large portion of Pokémon games never stay with their original owner, they just flow between stupid kids

I have a bunch of shit, the oldest being Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Stadium 1 & 2 with a Transfer Pak (never had a GameBoy).

But this is all obsolete now. They barely work anymore and even my Diamond cartridge is starting to randomly freeze when played now.

So why have all of this? I really hope we can go fully digital soon and so play games with certainty that they will always work and be preserved.
