I love fervently autistic Pokemon players are for no reason. I'm sure people will rage if the Aegislash isn't present in SS even though they're literally a symbol of Kalos and have nothing to do with the Galar region.

I mean there's that event in the desert that kickstarts the O-Power's side story but if that's what you meant by 'filler cutscenes' then no, they didn't do anything aside from that.

I mean, I'd like a mega for those two or something but lets be real Solrock and Lunatone just suck. I don't think anything will fix that.

Not including them wasn't a missed opportunity, it was an intentionally disregarded opportunity.
Same with Bellossom, everyone expected the hula dancing Pokemon to be in the Hawaii region, but it only appeared on a cutout as a joke.
