Always excited for a new Pokémon game. The sheer fact we got Scottish trainer memes, was outstanding. Hopefully the region is fun, the mons are plentiful and well designed. Been playing since 1998, and I’ll probably keep playing until I’m dead or the series ends.
Now I’m not going to fool myself that it’s going to be some master piece, I’m taking it for what it is. It’s a game aimed at a younger demographic, and thus gameplay and story will be made to a younger audience in terms of appropriateness and depth.
I’m sure there will be a new gimmick, that will break the meta in some way, but that’s to be expected. That being said, I can still enjoy it for what it is. Just a fun game.
