>>38324848>Ah yes this trumpet should be sound type even though it's clearly steel.Great, make it Sound/Steel
>Ah yes these drums should be sound type even though it's clearly grass. Why Grass? I mean I guess drums are often made using wood, but the heads are made of hide or a synthetic material. Why would a Pokemon based on drums need to be the type of just one material of drums?
>Ah yes this whistle should be steel/sound type even though it's clearly steel/flying.Just give it Levitate.
We already have examples of essentially this. Look at Flygon, Latias/Latios, and Vikavolt. There are even examples that ought to be Flying but don't get Levitate like Dustox.
Pretty much all of your ideas sound like boring, uncreative objectmons. Sound Pokemon wouldn't just be instruments with googly eyes glued on.
>get a grip, the types we currently have are ALL based on materials contained within a vessel with outlined boundaries. What? Did you even think about this claim for like thirty seconds? Psychic, Fairy, and Dark exist. What sort of "materials" are those types based on?
>There is literally no way to produce a sound pokemon without it intruding upon a type we already have. What type does Exploud intrude upon?
Imagine a Pokemon that's a gorilla whose belly is shaped like a taiko drum. I'd make it pure Sound type. What type would it be intruding on?
Imagine a Pokemon based on a combination of some kind of songbird and an opera singer. It could be Flying/Sound. What type should it have instead of Sound which is being intruded upon?
What about a spinosaurus-esque creature with pipe-organ-esque pipes instead of spines, seemingly made of the same organic material as its body, and it's themed around using its music to either soothe prey to catch them off guard, or play creepy music to frighten them? It could be pure Sound, but I think I'd make it Sound/Dark based on its cruel behavior. Is there a third type it needs that I've somehow overlooked?
