Not much reason to read any fanfic desu. For some reason, the amount of good writers are low, maybe because they're busy creating their original fic to try to make a living off of it.

That, I can buy. He doesn't resemble Delia at all, that, and I really doubt Ash is human.

I think him not looking like his mom has more to do with anime artists than any hidden meaning, but even then the reason I hate that trope is because it's cliche as fucking hell and is usually followed up with "he's secretly a powerful legendary Pokemon in disguies and he didn't even know".

I mean, that doesn't sound that bad and the reason could be thanks to the war, a guy in Unova looks like Ash so him being a time traveler isn't that crazy, remember the movie with kid Oak.

Now, this? This I can't forgive, Ash was ready to kill Entei in the third movie for Delia's sake with his bare hands, and Delia promised Ash to wait for him forever, they love each other way too much.

A story can be made tho, his dream is to be a Pokémon Master (whatever that is) so Ash being more powerful than his Mons can be something he has to work around, like, maybe he's only good at punching things but that doesn't mean he goes around getting into fights when he just wants to be recognized as The Pokémon Master and not that kid that can kill almost everything in his path.
That's how I would do it.
