For each turn that vespiquen is not hit with a direct attack it creates a combee that acts as a substitute. The combee has the defensive stats of any combee but vespiquen attacks for it. Up to 3 combee may be in play at once. Spread moves hit all at once.

Honestly all she needs to be a bit better is to lose the fucking awful Flying typing. Like give her armor and make her steel, or double down on venom and go for Poison, or fuck it maybe fairy royalty or some shit.

Like Zygarde it’s max hp increases.
In fact, all of its mega stats just go into hp and defenses so all it gets is the ability to take a hit or two.

The ability alone is broken beyond belief.
Protect creating Subs make it near unkillable with only Infiltrator and Sound moves able to ever hurt it.

Still garbo, its defenses are so pitiful that adding 100 across them + HP means absolutely nothing, it's still getting bodied by literally any super effective attack. And it's still forever cucked by entry hazards that don't let it switch in for shit before mega.

Vespiquen should've been unique Bug/Psychic (mind controls lesser bees or some shit)
D/spD: 102 to 110 (+16) (fuck numbers that are not multiples of 5)
Att: 80 to 110 (+30) (fuck mixed attack stats)
BST: 474 to 520 (+46) (Similar to Golisopod's 530)
Add literally any second ability.
Increase level requirement.
Now even my casualfag playing on emulators ass would know this is nowhere close to being viable in competetive, but at least I could enjoy playing through story without feeling the need to overlevel her to be useful.
Shame on GF for making such rare and cool designed mon to be so underwhelming.

Also, if your opponent was paralyzed, frozen, or asleep, they couldn't do anything to stop the ability from activating. Even switching out would at least let it activate once.
