gens 3 peak of region design
gen 4 peak of music

gen 7 peak of characters/story (not that its story is good, they just all kinda suck)

God no. Gen 1 has shit tier monster designs but its region design is by far the best. Gen 3 region is just Kevin Costner's wet dream and Gen 2's designs are horribly forgettable outside of Tyranitar, Scizor, and the boxart legends.

Kalos's music was bland and the battle themes were all this electric rock that blends together. You probably didn't even hear most of the battle music due to how fucking braindead the game is. Gen 4 and 5 had the best music. Comfy and at the right times intense

Abysmal taste. Good pokemon music died with this gen. Pretty sure I read that people on the dev team were subtly urging Masuda to not go ahead with the god awful gym leader theme he composed for XY.

There's maybe 5 good themes in the entire OST of XY. Compare that to hoenn, johto or unova where pretty much every single theme is good enough to put on a loop and listen for hours

Don’t care what you faggots have to say, Gen 6 was the absolute peak of multiplayer. The greatest online experience Pokémon games have ever had. PSS, Wonder Trade, Global Link, GTS, Battle Spot, and Secret Based. GameFreak did everything right and I am absolutely dumbfounded on how they fucked it up in Gen 7
