The next worse RNG offense are crits, which have been nerfed and are a necessary evil to prevent things like cosmic power boosting cancer from being everywhere.
Then you have missing, which is entirely your fault for getting greedy and not choosing the weaker, 100% accurate option.
Things like scald are 100% fine IMO, and a perfect example of RNG done right.
