I mean.. I liked the soft soils spots in gens 3 and 4, I hope they bring that back in gen 8, anyone here liked them?

I love how gens 6 and 7 handled berries, I just wish they bring the tree designs back.

(OP here), I just like the sense of satisfaction of having your bag full of berries knowing that you have planted them, Gen 6 and 7 just handled you them.

You do plant berries in 6 and 7 though; the only difference was that the plots weren't scattered throughout the whole region, which is fine if you prefer that. I think retreading the region for berries is comfy too, just not enough to be worth it.
