Personally I actually quite like a lot of them and they for the most part improved the mons they evolve from greatly, even more by later then giving eviolite access when that was introduced in gen 5.
The three that tend to get the most hate of all that I see, is obviously Rhyperior but also Lickilicky and Magmortar, the rest are all decent to absolutely great.

Literally the only "bad" design is Rhyperior, and only because Rhydon looked better and stronger. As a standalone Pokemon Rhyperior would be fine.
