I only go on showdown occasionally and when I do I play random battles so it wouldn't bother me personally

That said, it would be kind of lame if the box legendaries where that week, mostly because the games will most likely hype them a lot and it wouldn't feel as rewarding to battle/catch them

I'd be pretty bummed. I really want more than the new legends and a few new stall mons to be viable. I'd at the very least want a bunch of UU level mons that can at least hold their own/have niche usage in OU. I think the best outcome is Gen 8 gives us a legendary trio/quad with auto-trick room and inverse room abilities so stuff like "good in TR" or "slow bulky ice type" can actually be unironically good.

knowing the OU council, but it really isn't broken and would just change how you play. Plus using Trick room cancels Trick Room so there's that. If wears off after a few turns still. If Gamefreak changes it so any other room would override the others like terrains and weather does, then it would be even more workable.
