I hope I'm not summoning a shitstorm by saying this, but there really is little to no biological reality to race; each human is just a collection of phenotypes largely, operating independently of each other, and it's feasible if unlikely that the genies just happened to sort just right for the baby to end up with white features.
You know how sometimes mixed-race children with one black and one white parent will have some kids who pass for white and some who don't? It's kind of like that.
