Generally speaking water doesn’t have too much going on but doesn’t have a lot of weaknesses either. It’s a decent offensive type with two types that resist it being weak to a common ice coverage move, and it’s a good defensive type since it only has two weaknesses combined with its other resistances. This makes it a pretty versatile and powerful type without much trouble
