My fiance didn't really grow up playing games (his family wasn't religious or anything, they just kinda ignored they existed) so when he met me I introduced him to a lot of stuff. Nowadays he mostly plays TF2, and while he did like Pokemon it's not his "main" game or anything. He's french so he insisted playing XY first for shits and giggles and actually enjoyed it a lot. Eventually he did play at least one game from every gen but he really doesn't like replaying them so it's a one time thing.
He does like the designs a lot so we tend to buy plushies.
As for sex, I've always got off to pretty degenerate stuff that may or may not include Pokemon or worse but he doesn't care (in fact sometimes he even teases me about it), he's more vanilla in that regard. Tbqh once you meet someone you really love you'll actually kind of stop caring about weird porn (not saying you'll make a full stop, just not as often) because doing it with them feels like the best thing in the world and no weird ass fantasy can compare.
It's really nice having someone you can be yourself with, and laugh about everything tbqh.

Flareon and Jolteon are far superior, though I don't feel sexually driven to them.

when my girlfriend and i got together in highschool i got her back into pokemon with heart gold since she played gold growing up. Since then we have bought every game day one and played together, the house is full of pokemon plushies and stuff she likes. Literally could not ask for anything better bros.
