>>38358297It could be interesting if she were the only "Totem boss" whose allies *also* had Totem boosts. Mother Beast has a +1 all stats aura, and then she has five possible allies - each of which has a +1 aura in one stat. These are exactly the five Pokémon from the team she already has (but maybe swap the auras of Bewear and Milotic).
On a related note, you know how each of her Pokémon has three moves in the first fight, and then they all add a healing move in the second fight? Replace "healing move" with "ally support move."
I would probably leave the base stats, Ability and type the same with this in mind - if she's going to be the only unobtainable Pokémon in the series, I'd rather that at least the form change was just aesthetic (and it's not like she needs them to be a really cool and challenging final Totem) - but I'm not completely opposed to changing them if anyone has a particularly neat idea.
Here's a possible set:
Lv 53 Nihilego @ Life Orb (or just no item, but I thought that would be fitting - she's being literally poisoned by the source of her power, Ultra Deep Sea is a crystal wasteland, and she's generally being fairly self-destructive without realizing it... plus it's a good item for Nihilego)
- Protect (so the player is forced to deal with her allies sometimes instead of cutting them off by beating her first)
- Toxic Spikes
- Venoshock
- Power Gem
Allies:
Lv 50 Clefable (+ Special Defense) with Reflect (Nihilego's weaker defensive stat)
Lv 50 Lilligant (+ Special Attack) with Aromatherapy (I'm frustrated that this doesn't get Grassy Terrain...)
Lv 50 Mismagius (+ Speed) with Heal Pulse
Lv 50 Milotic (+ Defense) with Icy Wind (to lower the player's Speed)
Lv 50 Bewear (+ Attack) with Pain Split (but it uses it on Lusamine and not the player)
None of them hold items because Totem allies generally don't do that, and the rest of their moves are the same as the first battle.
This was actually really fun to think about!
