Do you build a competitive team when you play through the story in Pokémon games? I am planning to play through every Pokémon game from fire red to ultra sun, but I'm wondering if I should build a competitive team for each play through. The reason I want to do this is because If I don't I'll feel like my Pokémon aren't actually strong and I won't really be proud of my team. I know it's kind of dumb, but that's just how I feel. My main concern is that it's going to take ages to build each team. I do enjoy competitive battling and I plan to transfer some of my Pokemon to the later games when I'm done with the earlier ones.
