>>38367288The hell are you even talking about anymore anon? Only intelligible thing out of that was "the concepts, not the designs were ripping off gen 1", but concept and design go hand-in-hand. Your argument is the same.
I said before, it's only the same if you stupidly break it down to the bare essentials, concept and/or design, doesn't matter. You can cry all you want about "ROCK MONSTER = ROCK MONSTER! BAD! UNORIGINAL IDEA!", but that isn't the case. It's more like "Round, almost reptilian rock monster that rolls down hills like a living, breathing rock slide." vs. "Rock-formation monster sporting glowing energy crystals/gemstones that form when its body is subject under pressure."
Gen 1 and Gen 5 have a lot of parallels. But the concepts and designs (and design philosophy for that matter) are vastly different.
Face it, you're just regurgitating shit because you don't actually have an argument. You didn't play Gen 5 and shit yourself in pure, unbridled anger when Jellicent reminded you of Tentacruel, or when Audino reminded you of Chansey. Nobody did that. Not a one. At most, it may have been an "Oh." moment, and I still find that hard to believe. You played it, didn't enjoy it as much as other games, and blew your own personal gripes out of proportion to fit in with a bunch of other screaming children, adopting their sheep-herd meme arguments, and forcing yourself to hate something that wasn't even all that horrible.
Gen 5 wasn't some end-all answer and god's gift to the series, but it's certainly not some horrid blemish on the series either. That goes for any Gen. My favorite, your favorite, every other anon's favorite, doesn't matter.
Fuckin' hell.
