Why does Nintendo not allow you to catch more mythicals in game. What they did with Deoxys was great. They should have also brought back Mew’s island in the Remake

While that would have been nice, still locked behind an event. The best solution would have been to just add that into the game from the get go, but I'm at least glad they decided to put Deoxys in the base game at all.

It fucking was. Even if ORAS could have been handled better making a previously event-only Pokemon obtainable in the default game is not just great, its fucking baffling.
Everything from previous gens has been lost and not obtainable by legitimate means anymore for new players of those old games or people who want a new save file.
While its nice to have this stuff for free GameFreak's method of handling event pokemon is so horribly outdated they should just move to doing either this or standard DLC.
Anything that future proofs pokemon event content is something the series desperately needs.

They really should just make any mythical that's more than 2 generations old available to catch like they do with old legendaries. Actual side quests for some would be great, but even if it's just ultra wormhole shit I'll be happy, especially if it means you can use them in the Battle Tower.
Mew is the obvious exception since it's never ever going to be catchable outside an event.

I cannot fucking stand event locked pokemon.

Especially sense they just hand them to you these days. You don't even get a side quest anymore. Just the pokemon and two sentences in your pokedex loosely explaining the "lore" behind it. I mean fuck, at least Victini had their own area to catch them.

Nah dude, Diancie had a random NPC come in the Pokémon Center and tell you "hey dude cool diancie go watch the movie bye" with no context at all.
Also Volcanion gets 1 more sentence of "lore" on a computer in a building in Lumiose City.

Game Freak put a lot of effort into these amazing details, so don't be like that!
