Do you ever feel as though Pokemon lost it's mystique?
Sure we have inter dimensional travel, gods, space travel, time travel, etc, but the world itself doesn't seem to have the same level of intrigue as it did during the first two seasons.


>we didn't know what exactly Pokemon were, how they came into being, how they reproduced, nothing.
>most seemed sapient
>technology used in both manga was astonishing
>talking Pokemon weren't too uncommon
>spirits,ghosts and all sorts of horrific shit were around as well
>danger was literally around every turn (think about how many times our cast almost died in the first season of the anime, manga etc.)
>we weren't sure if people were as strong as Pokemon either in both anime manga and game
>Pokemon were supposedly a rare sight .
>trainers were venerated and quite rare as well as depicted in both manga

Nowadays, it seems as though everything is explained, everyone and their mom has a Pokemon; and there really isn't any mystery or anything.
Alright, nostolgia glasses off the game world was bland compared to say dragon quest monsters or arc the lad.

If all of the elements such as gods, alt dimensions and other such were introduced earlier, it would have been much more interesting wouldn't you say?
