From what I can understand out of Google translate, the Tottori Prefecture collaborated with the Pokemon Company to make Sandshrew the official mascot of one of their festivals.

Not the original pangolin poster, but plenty of the major wildlife preservation groups like th WWF or AWF do try and help pangolins as well. There are pangolin specific groups like Pangolin Conservation and Save Pangolins however, if that peaks your interests more.

College is the only part of the Japanese school system that doesn't suck. Once you get into college you're pretty much done with entrance exams. You don't even have to wear a uniform.
