Game Freak made the mistake of making the upright stance its default pose.
It's neat when you see how it moves like a real polar bear, but it gives the wrong first impression.

Is Gen 5 unironically the most "overdesigned"? I thought that was Gen 4, which went all out on slapping random spikes and more body patterns on a lot of its Pokemon.
To this day the creation trio are regarded as the most overdesigned legendaries by fans.

Tell that to the Chandelure, Hydreigon, Haxorus, Volcarnoa, and Scolipede lines. Problem with Beartic is his head imo, it's weord and angular.
