Hello, I know that around 98% of people will ignore this post, but come May 11th you all will understand. A good childhood buddy of mine found a job at GameFreak as a French translator for Sun and Moon, and he also has the opportunity to work on the newest games, being Sword and Shield. He has disclosed to me some important information about the starters/new Pokemon and part of the story, but I will save the story information for another post due to the amount of information being too much to put into one post.

Grookey’s evolution will be a Grass Rock ape, and will have a bulky build similar to the concept art debunked due to incorrect Japanese. It will wield two large drum sticks, and will use its stomach as a drum. Its signature move will be sound based.

Sobble will evolve into a hybrid of a loch ness monster and a chameleon with a sleek build, and will become a water psychic type. A pattern of icons with the comedy-tragedy masks will be found on the tail. Its signature move will basically be Surf, only the water used are its tears.

Scorbunny will unfortunately become a fire fighting type, with more of a sleek build (GameFreak was going to keep the masculine/feminine/sleek pattern, but realized that the sleek pokemon were better received, so they decided to make Scorbunny a sleek pokemon instead of feminine.) The bottom of its feet will have cleats made of fire attached to them. It by far has the coolest signature move, as it strikes its leg against the grass like a match, creating a fire-made soccer ball that is used as a projectile towards the opponent.
There will be two new eeveelutions, and yes, one is Steel type. The other is something that you might not expect. I will keep you guessing, and no, it’s not dragon.

The regional bird is based on a puffin, and is a two stage evolutionary line. The first stage being
Normal-Flying and the second being Ice-Flying.
