Okay, first I should obviously start with my credentials. I’m working as an English translator for the games and promo material.
I’ve dubbed this leak Honeycrisp (a rather delectable cultivar of apple) for ease of finding and discussing it.
.
>Scorbunny’s final evo is called Pyrabbit, and it’s a Fire/Electric type.
>It’s got a generic athletic theme, most resembling a marathoner, a la Tortoise and the Hare.
>Grookey’s final evolution is called Flutamarin, and is Grass/Psychic type.
>It’s got a shaman theme, and it plays a wooden flute to manipulate plants to attack.
>Sobble’s final evo is called Seclusea, and it’s water/ghost type.
>It’s designed after mermaids, naiads, that sort of thing. It also resembles Nessie in a few ways.
>Box legendary for Sword is is based upon dragons and wyverns as depicted in heraldry. It has a monument of its own, albeit not shown on the map.
>It’s called Bladrakon, Steel/Dragon type.
>Box legendary for Shield is the one depicted in the hill monument.
>It’s named Fortitan, Steel/Electric type, resembles a suit of armor.
Three completely random pokémon:
>A grass/fairy dryad Pokémon called Dryadabour which is among the rarest non-legendary Pokémon in the game.
>Regional bird is called Peckrow, Flying/normal type. Evolutions have a plague doctor theme.
>Regional mammal is a normal/dark type fox called Kitsnatch.
Gameplay details:
>Not an open world.
>While it is implied they’re closely located, you don’t get to go to Kalos.
>There’s a whole area locked behind the postgame not shown on the map, which itself does not actually show a lot.
>There are about 95 new Pokémon, 8~ of which are Legendaries.
>Pokémon following you WILL make a return, but sadly only your starter and various other significant Pokémon can follow you (things like Pikachu, the box legendaries, and a few others)
