I can definitely see an Australian region happening at some point, personally I'd love to see a Greece region, there's SO many myths and legends to go off as well as so many ideas for Pokemon based on the Greek creatures.

Cascades or Argentina/Chile would be great. Lots of diverse biomes and ecoregions cramped into a small area with interesting and unique culture and wildlife to take queues from. I think they'd probably not base an area off a very controversial country like Russia, North Korea, Turkey etc. I'm assuming the regions are gonna stay in the Western World or very lowkey places.

Honestly if I got to pick the next region, I'd go with Italy.

The Alps, medieval cities like Florence, Venice with a water type gym, ocean routes linking Corsica and Sardinia with the mainland, Rome with a big coliseum that's used for a Pokemon World Tournament, Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius as an explorable volcano, crazy forest ruins with shit like pic related inside.

And you get to have sweet Roman Empire shit on top of sweet Renaissance shit.
