Looks too Dragon-like. GF probably learned their lesson from gen 1 and aren't gonna make any more dragon-ish non-dragons. And a dragon-type starter isn't gonna happen simply because of how much it would throw off the starter type circle.

Dragon is way worse than those two. Dragon has the exact same relationship with all three types: resists every single one. It will always come out advantageous. Ground and Steel only have advantage/disadvantage on one or two.

Even though Grookey is my pick, Sobble is the only of the trio I feel safe about getting good evolution. the only way I could see it getting cucked was if it went Primarina way, but I doubt they would do that twice in a row to the water.

Gen 6 was the only time the secondary type was also integrated into the typing advantage circle and it was a whole new circle, not one taking grass-fire-water into account.

It has five resistances, one immunity, and only two weaknesses, plus STAB on Flying moves and Scald.

I dropped water after unova, so that would be nice again. Reptillian and dragon themes are still drawn the same way other pokemon are drawn though, so going that way will be a massive downer already.

It can safely switch in on Close Combat, Earthquake, Fire Blast, Aqua Jet, and whatever Steel move is about to obliterate your Fairy.
You are massively overestimating the significance of a double weakness. OU is full of them. Tyranitar is even double-weak to fucking Fighting.

They are all good, though one set is horrible.

I liked Alolan Starters, just they phoned it in on Incinaroar's Darkest Lariot and Melevolent Moonsault.

I'd like to have seen a Lariot that was more evil, more nasty, wanting to take the opponent's head off, not fairy like spin and punch.

Melevolent Moonsault should have been called Sinister ShootingStar.

Well Empoleon would beat Infernape using Water and then get Earthquaked by Torterra.

Or Infernape close combats Empoleon then Earthquaked by Torterra.

Or Torterra beats them both with Earthquake.

The typing circle is complex in Sinnoh, but it works.
