When they announced Let's Go, they went into damage control mode from the very first moment, even openly stating that the "real" pokemon game would come in 2019 on the very same tweet they announced Let's Go. After that, they kept repeating on every chance they got that LGPE was aimed at first time players and that the 2019 games were going to be aimed at "veteran pokemon trainers". They KNEW LGPE was shit, but they wanted to see with how much shit they could get away.
Now, GF and TPCi have confirmed that they can release insultingly bad games that are cheap to make and require no effort to produce. Much as many of us feared, people will eat literal shit if it has the 'pokemon' brand on it, proof of it being how many people bought LGPE.
Now, we see them comfortably stating that sword/shield will also be aimed at first time players. To GF, this means removing features and making the games easier, because they think kids are retarded, and now they know grown ups are retarded as well.
