This is what I don't get. Everyone knows the anime exists to simply promote the games and is one long advertisement.

Yet Misty fans are the only ones who waste literally decades of their lives since the year 2002 being actively butt-hurt/depressed over her character "leaving" or being "replaced" when of course that was going to happen anyway because the anime promotes each new gen of character.

Even if Misty had lasted a little longer in the series similar to Brock, she would have been axed eventually...just like Brock was after DP. So why are they still so butt-hurt? You'd think after 17 years they'd realized wasting half their lives obsessing over this was pointless.

Ash is soon going to be on his 9th or 10th female companion, yet there are still people out there who obsess over Misty leaving for decades.
