I barely speak English so bear with me but what i get from that paragraph is that they surveyed 80 men and asked them what ages they found females sexually attractive the most and 1/4 of them said they found children attractive
Then they conducted some kind of test which i have no idea what it consisted of since all i could find was that part of the book(granted i didn't look that far) and noted their reaction to the stimuli (if their pp got hard)
Then this is the part i have problems with

So in conclusion, men think with their dick and don't care about the age of their partner but it doesn't necessarily means they like children, specifically.
