The string of good luck I've head in Diamond seems to continue to hold, because I was so sure that someone would go down to Fantina. Even with Luxray and Staraptor it seemed like it'd be really close. But we managed to pull it off. Really it came down to the Gengar that was left after both our two leads had taken out her Drifblim and Mismagius. I took a chance and had Deanna in briefly to try a Stun Spore paralysis. Actually worked - when I sent Riker back in, Gengar never made a move and just stood there to take attacks.

Fuck me I was about to battle Clair but my flashcart somehow screwed the save so now I have to erase the game and start over.I'm putting the nuzlocke on hold until I reach her again and then I'll just inject my old team and box and continue it.It won't feel the same but I really wanted my team to make it.From now on I'll have to make sure to backup my saves when using this thing.At least I have a detailed log of who I had.

What is the consensus on using AR or glitches to level your pokemon up quickly?

I have just had a late game wipe and I have another team in my box but I have to level each mon a minimum of 40 levels for all six of them. I don't really like the idea of grinding Audino for the next 20 hours.

With all of her mons packing Overheat, I didn't want to let her have too many turns to do stuff, so I had Rockrack(Golem) lead.

Magnitude 6 killed it in one hit.
>Slugma
Magnitude 5 barely fails to kill it, and it sets up Sunny Day.
Flannery blows a Hyper Potion on it, but Magnitude 7 takes it out.
>Camerupt
Magnitude 5 does a bit less than half its health. It scores a Tackle Crit in return.
A Magnitude 7 Crit(Unneeded) takes it out.
>Torkoal
Magnitude 8 doesn't even send it into the red. That's some bulk. It retaliates with Body Slam, and the Sunlight fades.
Magnitude 7 finishes it off.

Anyone know a good BW/BW2 hack aside from the one's by Drayno? His hacks are good, but making every gym leader have 6 Pokemon kind of annoys me. A cheat that unlocks Challenge mode right away for BW2 would be fine as well.

Linoone will do fine. It's the best overall utility Pokémon in Hoenn (when I say utility, I mean simply securing advantages and easing progress OUTSIDE of battle). Nobody besides maybe somebody like Tentacruel or Tropius can do it as well as Linoone, and they're just useful HM Slaves, Pickup skyrockets it into another tier on its own.

Keep it roughly on parity with your party. Starting with Emerald (maybe FRLG, not too sure), if your Linoone's level goes up, the quality of the items it can pick up does as well. This doesn't apply in baseline Ruby and Sapphire, but for balancing issues, they don't want you snagging like 20 extra revives and PP Ups before facing down Roxanne by only grinding against level 2 Wurmples.

most emulators come with the option to skip frames (which makes the game run super fast to match the speed your computer can go at) in citra it's ctrl Z in desemu you have to uncheck limit framerates.

Used the randomizer to have it replace Totodile, just to keep type advantages in place. I didn't want to use the traditional starters in an early gen, they make shit too easy, so I wanted to use something with a rather crippled early movepool. I'm recovering slowly, i got an Oddish which i was able to teach cut to in the forest after the gym and then used the headbutt guy to replace tackle on slowpoke so i could smash trees in azaela town until a spearow popped out. This is what I get for bragging about my good luck I suppose, with that last bit just sprinkled on to rub in my face. Beside Deanna's loss (Riker I'm sure is grieving), things have been alright. Covered some areas we had to overlook due to lack of surf. Picard has fully evolved, and I caught our new Gastrodon, Pulaski. Had swapped her in for Worf seeing as how she'd likely be of more use in the upcoming gym fight with Byron. Might consider also trying to train up Janeway quick to get her leveled with the rest of the team, but as is I think we ought to be okay? Oh and I've got another egg - from Riley that will hatch into a Rilou. At least it's something if B'Elanna should die, but I'm really hoping we won't need it.

if you are using Desmume you should save on the spot and then reset the rom by selecting file third option from the bottom. It's fixed that problem for me 3 or 4 times now.

My box is fucking ass as well. The only non-redundant stuff is Swadloon (not at this stage), and Karrablast, and I'd rather use Excadrill for my Steel type needs since it actually resists Flying and I accidentally encountered it in Victory Road anyway, so requires less grinding. I guess I'm going in with Golduck/Krookodile/Mienshao/Drifblim/Lunatone/Excadrill once I finish grinding.

Playing Renegade Plat on Nuzlocke rn, I just got at Oreburgh and got the Gift Beldum (although I still haven't decided if I want to use Beldum or Mudkip, I count giftmons as encounters so I can only use one of the two, they're both hella good)

This is my second run actually, the first got screwed on the double battle fights because I missed pretty much everything I could miss, be Slam or Razor Leaf

Dude you should do Beldum and grind it up to be a Metagross. It's a pain in the ass but as someone who made it to Cynthia is Flawless Platinum with a level 90 Metagross it is absolutely worth it. I would have won had all my other pokemon not died too :p

Spent the better part of today making my way to Snowpoint and getting my team leveled up - not easy grinding in what is a perpetual blizzard. Pretty glad of where I've got Janeway at considering. Current team, just fought Whitney. Her Miltank was replaced by a Dusknoir and it only used Astonish. A tad worried because my boys are so frail. Beldum was very high maintenance but it's good to have it evolved now.

Going forward, I'm thinking I might take some time to really try and restructure my team a bit. Picard isn't quite panning out as well as I would have hoped - Pulsaki fills his role much better and a Ground-type slot that I've needed for a while now. I'd like to keep Sela on, but she's been kind of falling behind the rest of the group. I just wonder if maybe like having a Drifblim wouldn't pan out a little better? At the moment, I'm very much undecided on what to fill out my sixth remaining slot with and would appreciate any suggestions.

Similarly, the first time I ran Pearl, I had a Bibarel from the very beginning of the game, and it died to Barry from the Elite Four. I had to replace it with a really underlevelled Floatzel, which ended up doing most of the work there anyway.

I think ORAS are maybe the easiest games. At least the easiest since GSC and FRLG. XY can be deceptively tricky, HGSS are tedious as all hell, while gens 5 and 7 can be really rough if you're unlucky. DPPt is tough as well but not as bad as everyone says.

Drifblim ain't that great. It's a bit better in gen 5 since it gets Acrobatics. Sneasel might be a good option but you might want to save it just incase. Swords Dance/Night Slash/Ice Shard/Brick Break basically kills Lucian and Cynthia alone if you set up 3 times and can heal.

Replace Picard, then, and stick Tomalak (fuck Lucian, fuck Cynthia's Garchomp, fuck half of Aaron's team and fuck Bertha) and Guinan (fuck Flint's Infernape, fuck Cynthia's Roserade/Lucario) in there, maybe? Duras may be necessary if you need Fire coverage, as it learns Flamethrower naturally.

Agree on bringing along Tomalak, I definitely want to be able to shut down Lucian. I might keep Picard on - it was pointed out that he could do much better with the right TM support and he is very tanky so that can help a lot. Yeah you're right on Picard's TM support: Blizzard or Ice Beam is incredibly helpful. Flash Cannon is almost mandatorily used here as well. If you can grind multiple Hidden Powers, it will be useful on him as well. Drill Peck perhaps. Grass Knot may be your thing, though.

Not entirely sure which one to go with.
Walrein will take more work to get and Sealeo dying beforehand would be annoying, but if I can get it fully evolved it will be really bulky on both ends, while Crawdaunt can't take a special hit to save it's life, but is bulky on the physical end, safe from crits and fairly powerful.

Lmao thanks tho. Blue didn't really kick my shit in that hard. Union and ThreeTwo came close to biting it. Like *very* close. Red turned out a bit more difficult when underleveled: I only got out unscathed due to some really clever (or lucky and desperate) switching schemes. My entire party ended the fight at less than half health per Pokémon.

Hen Wen and Echo then kill Lunatone the next turn with Shock Wave and Leaf Blade.

Continuing my Blaze Black 2 nuzlocke after a week break.
I was really happy with my team performance. Clay was disposed pretty easily with Marvel and Skyla posed no threat.
I battled Juan in Milstraton and lost Incell to a stupid crit.
Then, after Reversal Mountain and battling Hugh, a trainer with a fucking Destiny Bond Froslass took out Velma, the only one that has been with me since the first badge.
Drayden fight was tough, and Recycle didn't survive a Dragon Gem powered Outrage from Haxorus.
After the whole team Plasma ordeal, I get to Humilau City, but lost another member to Liza & Tate. Drifblim can't take a hit for shit, shame.
Anyway, now I'm ready to take on Marlon.

the trick is to finish mahogany. crystal and HGSS is fucked like that. You can use Surf, and you're supposed to swim east after ecruteak. finish mahogany, level your mons and then finish cianwood, and then do olivine.

also remember to overlevel your starters. johot has really good starters, and with ice punch feraligatr destroys, and typhlosion can destroy steel with fire blast

So now I've got my team just about leveled up to where I wanted them, kitted out with appropriate items and moves, just on the verge of challenging the League. And... I still am not liking my chances. I feel like I should grind even further, but I don't know if that's just paranoia talking or something. Regardless, this is the team I have that I'll be taking into the ring with me.

Picard is set up primarily to take on Bertha and Flint's team. Of course I have to be careful - just about everything of Bertha's has Earthquake or some hard hitting ground-move. My hope is that Picard's bulk and defense will help to keep him in even after taking the worst. Similarly Flint's Infernape has coverage with both Mach Punch and Earthquake. If he manages to make it to Cynthia, I'll try to save him for Garchomp with Blizzard, though he's got Gastrodon covered with Grass Knot. Riker as any good XO is there to provide support for his captain and crew, so he'll be dealing with the odd threats here and there, mainly against Lucian and Cynthia's Milotic. Sela hits pretty hard against just about anything, but she's got Aaron pretty thoroughly covered. Will likely lead in with her against Cynthia's Spiritomb and try take it out fast. B'Elanna is pretty similar but can actually take a hit here and there so she'll be on switches to provide support against odd threats here and there - like with Maylene's, she's got Cyn's Lucario dead to rights. Pulaski will help back-up Picard when dealing with Flint and Garchomp. And Tomalak's primary mission will be to decimate Lucian's team.

I am very glad that I did.

Wow. That was the WORST. I have never had a League run go that poorly. Closest was my first Ruby run, but that I made out with at least two. Never have I only ever gotten out with only one. I'm sure it wouldn't have turned out nearly as badly if I hadn't lost both Sela AND Tomalak in the fight with Lucian. I find that the first games I clear through into each Gen are sobering experiences, so when I pick up Pearl I'll be better prepared.

Maybe the lesson to this is to NOT boldly go...

I'm using yuzu, a switch emulator that a few months ago couldnt even run lets go. Nowadays it's working, depending on how good your PC is.
Regarding pokemon go: I don't know, I used to play pokemon go and then got my account banned for using fake gps but I havent and wont test it out, because it wont help me out on my quest.

Also, I get the slight feeling trainer battles give next to no exp at all. For level grinding, if it's needed, I just re-catch Pokemon I have already caught and stuff them into a box.
