I can't stand playing Platinum because everything sounds awful to me, same as DP.
Like, the music itself is fine, but the soundfont or whatever it's called is awful. And I don't have this problem with HGSS.

Yellow: Buff the Pikachu you get or make it follow you regardless of party status, with access to all HMs like the one in let's go. Don't make it ridiculously op, just encourage its use.

Crystal: Make the Kanto exclusive Johto mons accessible earlier, restore Kanto to its RBY size, along with making Kanto level 50 minimum and scale from there.

Emerald: Buff the evil team and make the event isles not exclusive.

Platinum: Fine as it is.

It's gen 1. Unironically, those are problems enough. Otherwise its fine.

Shoulda been Celebii. Usual gen 2 issues of distribution (improved from GS, but also some are worse), item distribution (good luck getting an evo stone naturally), and levels (which isn't that bad compared to the other 2)

Exceptionally good. Hard to actually come up with a tangible issue. Maybe coulda used a legit Jirachi event.
>Platinum
suffers the worst of gen 4 slowness issues. NOW SAVING ALOT OF DATA.

Remove the PC for all games and replace it with the gen III PC. Replace gen I backsprites w/ gen II backsprites. Remove any and all restrictions on trading eggs and shit in Emerald. There. Perfect. Then add BW1 to the end of that list and it’s perfect

This is more of a fundamental problem but I feel like more legendaries (and some mythicals) should be locked behind obscure stupidly specific puzzles like the Regis. I maintain that it would be a great way to re ignite the childlike wonder of discovery and make rumors fun again.

Missing HGSS, but as for the ones listed:
Yellow: Graphics update, let Pikachu evolve
Crystal: Keep Johto Pokemon separate from Kanto, better graphics, any of the new good features form HGSS
Emerald: Make Stephen champion
Platinum: Get rid of "saving a lot of data" and make it fast, make level grinding easier
