GF could do better but its pleasantly stylised and looks nice. I just hope they make the battle animations less shit (which they wont, but I'll cope)

The graphics aren't mind blowing but as long as they look better than the 3ds I'm satisfied. I'm interested to see how they'll handle gen 8 with lgpe floating around. I know they'll tie it in somehow but I feel like it'll be closer to something like Pokémon Ranger levels of interaction. Of course I also want news, but waiting is a good thing. It could very well be half baked when it comes out, but haste just makes that the more likely result.

Lower graphical strain means longer battery life. Pokemon is meant to be a handheld game, so it's not surprising that they should prioritize battery over making it final fantasy.

I could care less for the graphics, as long as there's good content and a non-linear playthrough unlike Gen 7, then I'll be satisfied. Pokémon was never about how good the graphics are, there are plenty of other games that have far excelled in the visuals department. And from what we've seen so far, the graphics good fine.

There was a leak I found believable saying this graphic engine is an upgraded version of the s/m one, but the games after that will be even better because of a totally new one. While I can't say for sure this is true, I can hope it is
