When this saga first started and I never thought Lana would become so popular. She's loved in Japan, she gets tons of focus in the anime, and she has a fully evolved starter before even Ash does this series.

Lana is the action girl and they said this from the beginning, so it was fairly obvious this would happen. I doubt she's more popular than Lillie though, even if Lillie doesn't deserve any o it

Who's the demographic that was polled?

Pretty small sample size too since only 6 people have rated Lana and only 5 have rated Lillie. And those are the two with the highest rankings.

ACKTUALLY for there to be a "0,17%" there have to be at least around 600 votes, and this assuming the worst case scenario where the least voted characters only got 1 vote.
This of course could be more, for example if we assume Acerola got 2 votes this would mean 1200~ votes were cast, etc.
