Pikachu should have learned Brick Break, but Ash has hardly taught his Pokemon moves by himself, except for Bullet Seed (as Absorb was not known) then Seed Bomb.
They make Ash out to be an under achiever, his mum uses one of his few trophies as a second weight, they do this to Ash and forget Ash can win the leagues, but not challenge the Champion Leagues unless it's Kanto (The Sinnoh Psychic E4 member explained that)
They hate Ash, but love the money coming in.
