I love Golduck but man being a pure water type with middling stats in everything and no remarkable moves besides Simple Beam sucks.
That said, Simple Beam into Xerneas' Geomancy and then using Psych Up will never not be fun

Golduck is probably my favorite Gen1 Pokemon. Such a cool design. It's pretty sad how GF treats him so poorly regarding his movepool and abilities, as well as stats...
