Which pokemon has the best Battle Frontier?

I'm a boomer that only played until Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, and I thought the battle frontier there was pretty amazing

I liked the "pick 3 random pokemon, take one from the opponent" mode the best. Any other games with this mode?

Emerald

Gen 4 battle frontier is a watered down version of it. It has less facilities, it has less variety and it is less interesting and it is overall easier.

Emerald felt like a mini second region or big theme park with it's own developed characters thanks to the anime and Gen 4's pentagon, although good, didn't come close to it.

You mean the Battle Factory. Just the Platinum/Hg/Ss frontier. USM has something like it but Gamefreak fucked it up in classic Gamefreak manor by making it multiplayer dependent so it's unplayable now and lacks the fun challenge even when it does work.

Battle Factory? Yes, it's the only facility (other than Battle Tower, which gets reskins in every game anyway) that is shared between the Emerald Frontier and the Pt/HGSS one.

Hoenn battle frontier has godlike facilities like the Pike and the Pyramid while the only unique Sinnoh frontier has is the Arcade.

The battle pike is arguably the easiest facility. Not only does the girl in front of the doors give you clues about what might lie ahead, and you can easily run away from Dusclops and Milotic, but Lucy has the easiest team to beat even if you were brainlet enough to never ask the girl in front of the doors and arrive burned/poisoned.

And exploring the battle pyramid is fun as fuck. Revives and hyperpotions are extremely common to find, the trainers in there only have 1 mon and give you clues after being defeated, and on top of that there's a chick right before entering that outright tells you which type of wild mons you are going to face. Most of which are underleveled and can easily be OHKO'd if you have a good team and strategy. And again, Brandon's team is all weak to fucking rock slide, so really, if you blame the RNG for your retardedness you are most likely a dumb casual desu.

Balanced by the fact it's on an island inhabited by rare pokemon and rematchable gym leaders/travel companions, also it dropped the gimmicky shit and just gave you the battles so that's a plus.

M8, the Battle Factory is one of the most "annoying" facilities because you are subjected to whether the mons they offer you are shit/have shit movepools or not, something you have no control over, and it is one of the 2 facilities Gen 4 still has.

Emerald's Battle Frontier and its different facilities often require different mons, with different movesets and strategies. It forces you to experiment by using different mons, natures, ev trainin etc. and by the end of it, you will be truly the best trainer in game.

Dealing with Curselax is harder mos of the times, and far from impossible.

I only mentioned that because aside from actual OHKO moves that almost never work, a slow pokemon with quick claw+, lets say, Ice Beam like Porygon2 can easily kill a Salamence despite being slower. This is far more common that actual OHKO moves. Something that wouldn't work with a bulky mon.
