Only a small fraction of pedophiles will actually ever touch a child, because most of them are still humans with the ability to separate fantasy from reality. Same reason the vast majority of people with a rape kink never even consider actually raping anyone, most people with a bestiality fetish don't actually fuck animals, etc. And many child rapes/molestations aren't even committed by pedophiles, just your run of the mill rapists who target children because of their vulnerability, just like how the elderly are common rape targets despite very few people actually being attracted to them.
Shaming pedophiles for a kink they can't control having doesn't help anything, it just marginalizes people and in fact makes them more likely to commit crimes. After all, if you're already a total social pariah what's stopping you?
And before you accuse me of being a falseflagging pedo or something, I'm not. My kinks include pretty of degenerate shit like bestiality but I have no interest in children, I just have enough empathy and have done enough research to understand this stuff on a deeper level than "pedo bad, pedos deserves death".
