Mega Venusaur has been in the same tier with Mega Charizard since Gen6 (OU-Tier) but unlike Charizard, Venusaur has a viability in Uber-tier and an article as well.
Venusaur was the highest ranked Gen1 pokemon during VGC19 Sun season while Charizard wasn't even in the Top 100.
The only place where Charizard is more viable is Doubles format with Mega Y just for its sun summoning ability.
