For those of you with physical copies of the Pokemon games, how do you prefer to play through the Golden Age of Gen IV-V? DS or 3DS?

DS lite is cheaper. Also the 3ds was heavily overrated since the whole 3D effect got boring and nauseating after a few hours

The pixels get displayed bigger on the 3ds and make the games look kinda ugly. Dsi and older consoles are the go to for me

Hold start or select when loading DS games on a 3DS, it displays them in their proper resolution and not stretched/washed out.

I find that my 3ds xl makes blacks look brighter, so I'll play on my dsi so that the black colors are nice and vibrant. The original ds screen is kinda shitty, and I never owned a ds lite

I have the DS Lite, 3DS, 3DS XL and N3DS XL.
Definitely like 3DS XL the best, the picture is surprisingly nice for it not being an integer scale, and the buttons are better than N3DS XL. The sharp picture of the DS Lite is nice of course but I'll take the larger XL screen over it. Regular 3DS is by far the worst one.

Varies from day to day because I have all the options. I would say from a resolution standpoint you'd prefer to play gen 3/4 on DS/Lite because on the 3DS xl it's kinda stretched. I also just like playing Diamond on my phat Red DS because that's how I played it back then. Platinum I can play on whatever though
