Went back to Crystal recently and tried out a few extra mons I'd never given a go before, just because. Turns out Jynx (and Smoochum by extension) are really good

I've just been playing through Crystal for the first time after I bought it on the VC. I had only played Gold/Silver before and hoped the new distribution of mons would shake up my team building options.

This was my team at the Elite Four. All level 40 at the time of challenging. Right now I'm just one level from getting my Poliwrath (since I want 'whirl to learn Belly Drum at 43). If you're wondering why my team is weak to Fire, that's unintentional. I wasn't planning on using Jynx (Smoochum at the Daycare was a surprise) and the teammate I was planning on STILL isn't accessible until Kanto. I almost have you, Marcargo... And when I get it I will probably replace Ursaring.

Use Jynx in FRLG, too. Ice Punch + Psychic destroys the entire game.

Not OP, but since he mentioned Smoochum then it means he got the mystery egg to hatch into it, which has an absurdly high chance of being a shiny. I got a shiny Cleffa out of it when I first played Crystal as a kid.
