They're going for a robotnik origin story so it's like he slowly becomes the character. I am a sucker for that trope so I look forward to watching just for that. Sonic looks fucking AWFUL and all the non sonic robotnik characters are clearly just gonna be "le ebin humor", that's gonna be the big issue here.
Also jim carrey is gonna do mediocre here. Good job for the character but man is he past his prime (barely had one as it is if you ask me, his best work was in living color, everywhere else he played his schtick didn't pay off as well)
