The fact that Detective Pikachu is being compared to Sonic, and most people see DP as the superior product, is GOOD news. It makes people that more willing to watch DP. People WANT a good video game movie, and DP, at least for the near future, seems to be the only case of an actual good video game movie. Might result in a slight box office boost in its weekend.
