I love May so much I can't even stand it. Ever since I was a kid and saw the Adventures anime I've loved her. The spunk, the tomboyishness and the sweetness together, the things she does and the way she's soft-tsun, she's perfect.
I always play as her in Emerald and even go back to it once every month or so for another playthrough, imagining the phone calls we have while she's on her journey and we do long distance. The sights she sees, the manlets she battles, and how much she hates that rival of hers. The challenges she overcomes, the places she wish she could show me, the experiences that shape and mature her, I lose myself in it and it's all for her.
ORAS ruined it. My favorite part of those runs and those calls was the Battle Frontier, hearing about all of her victories and her struggles as the Champion, my powerful queen. The bow is cute, I'll give them that, but it's unforgivable to take the BF. I try not to remember that it exists most of the time. Gonna start another Emerald run now and see what adventures she gets into this time.
