The designs got more and more complex and the hardware got better and better at displaying them, but the basic tenets remain the same, especially for the starters (line all the base stages up and look at them critically, they all hit the same notes as one another, even if the detail and designs get mixed around). Hell it's the whole reason people were spacking out over Meltan being a fake as "It's just ditto with a nut" because the designer of Meltan was tasked with designing something to fit in with the Gen I roster in the Gen I style.

My honest critique of your work, start studying GF's style and try and marry it with your own, 'cause as it stands, these are generic fantasy animal designs.
