Could you please describe in your own words how you derive enjoyment from mainline Pokémon games?
Literally a decade ago, Pokémon XD was my first-ever GameCube game, and I enjoyed beating it and purifying all the Shadow Pokémon. Later, however, I tried playing the third-generation mainline games and found them totally unenjoyable, despite multiple attempts over the years. What am I missing?
