Is Ultra SuMo better than regular SuMo?
I want to play through all the gens before SS comes out. I only have gen 7 left.

It’s an improvement in everything except story, it fucking butchers the plot of the original so bad. If you haven’t played SM then USUM’s story isn’t offensively bad just bad, but otherwise it’s better in most ways.

The gameplay is way better in so many ways, but they really messed up the story. Lusamine's character in particular is completely butchered, going from the main antagonist to a misguided protagonist, even though she's not actually any better of a person. Lillie just kinda... Forgives her.

Of course, all of this is assuming you're actually playing a Pokémon game for the story.
