Also, yes just don't use, it is actually a very simple to undertand argument, what this kid is trying to is the same that people try to with the "nostalgia googles" argument a couple of years ago, make it look like something it isn't to. The nostalgia googles argument was always about how people can be bias to things they experiment when they didn't know better and don't want to face the flaws that thing has.
"Just don't use it" mean that the game gives you the option to not use a feature and you as the player don't have to put with it if that is affecting your experience with game. I very difficult to fairly argue agaisnt this, so I guess you need to twist it in a way the fits your counter argument.
