If you look at Ash's accomplishments he travelled 7 different regions in less than 365 days, and those events keep getting referenced (misty is a thing, may is a thing, previous mons are still a thing). If they pressed the RESET TIMELINE this wouldnt be an issue, but at the same time he has an arsenal of mons at his disposal for league time along with possibly thousands of acquaintances to match and yet the time where such events possibly could have happened becomes smaller and smaller. If you are an adult you shouldnt be able to relate or give a shit about any of the events of a show that all stakes are forgotten in a convoluted cloud of uncertain time.
Its a show for kids and its fine to mock its faulty logic for a small gag since the premise just become more and more retarded, the only reason you are rebutting is because everyone that has watched the show, which is a lot of people, will eventually do that small gag, and you being a fanatic and veteran is tired of hearing this joke for about 10 years.
